High blood pressure is a common lifestyle disease. It is known to cause complications if it remains uncontrolled. Complications related to high blood pressure include stroke, heart attack, poor blood circulation, and damage to the heart tissues and muscles.

Maintaining a healthy weight improves heart health by lowering the blood pressure. Obesity causes stress to the heart resulting in a bad circulation of blood.
